When you study mass shootings, suicide, depression, drug addiction the school drop out rate, divorce, domestic violence, violent crimes, you realize that the common denominator is a lack of emotional intelligence. To directly address these problems, we need to attack the root cause - a low level of emotional intelligence.  The first step is to educate. 

We are advocating for two programs, the first being education on the topic of mental and emotional health, and the second being counseling services to develop and maintain health. 

We want to establish a strong Mental & emotional Health education system in the United States, one which has an immediate and long term impact on preventing and addressing our problems. 

Education is the key to success and as we identify the root cause of problems in our society, we will implement solutions. 

We also want to establish public mental health counseling programs because that is what is needed. 

Currently, as a society, the roads we drive upon are provided by the government, as are the police departments, the fire departments, the most powerful military on the planet, the libraries and public parks, and so much more. We choose as a society what our tax dollars are dedicated to towards, and it is time to make the mental and emotional health of the country a top priority. 

A Better Way Political Action Committee will help the United States focus our money towards what is important, the mental and emotional health of the people.
